What's on the chart. Grey box = the opening range for the session. Green line above / red line below = the session's objective levels, drawn once the opening range is set. Table (top right) = the levels as numbers, plus roughly how often price has reached them.

What it's telling you. How far gold tends to travel in a session — not which way. Direction isn't predicted; both sides are drawn every day. Think of it like VWAP: it doesn't say buy or sell, it shows you where "fair" is and lets you judge stretch. This does the same for range.

How traders use it. Targets — the green objective is a natural place to take profit if you're long, the red one if you're short. Room check — price already at the far objective means the move is likely mature (worse to chase, better to fade or trail tight); price still near the box means there's room to run. Trend vs fade — opening range breaks up and holds, the upside objective is in play; chopping inside the box, the levels are just fences. Day type — price blows through the objective early = strong trend day.

What it is not. Not an entry signal. Not a direction call. Not a guarantee — some days overshoot the far level, some never reach the first. Normal range behaviour.

The honest part. The near objective gets reached most sessions. The far ones, much less often — they're "big day" markers, not the base case. Use the near level as your default expectation; treat the outer ones as stretch.

What's on the chart. Grey box = NQ's first 15 minutes of the regular session (9:30–9:45 ET). Green line (Ignition High) = the top of that range; it locks at 9:45 and doesn't move all day. Grey line (Ignition Low) = the bottom; reference and orientation only.

What it's telling you. NQ's opening 15 minutes usually set the tone. When price clears the green line and holds above it, the session has generally picked its direction. Like VWAP shows where "fair" is — this shows where the day committed.

How traders use it. The break — a candle that closes above the green line (body, not a wick) is the launch read; that's the level to trade long against. Hold or chop — closes above and stays above → trend day, let it run; flip-flopping across the line → no commitment, stand aside. The low line — stop placement and orientation, not a short trigger; breaks below it don't behave the same. Already gone — price well above the green line at 9:45 (gapped and ran) → the move happened without you; skip.

What it is not. Not a short signal on the grey line. Not an every-day trade — plenty of sessions never break clean. Not a promise the break runs; some fail and come back.

Setup. Built for the 15-minute chart on NQ. If you set an alert on the break, use "Once Per Bar Close" so it doesn't flicker intrabar. Most days give one clean break or none — don't force the ones that aren't there.
